Translations

One of the most significant, yet financially demanding activities of KIMA is the translations project. To study Korean martial arts theory in depth, proficiency in the Korean language as well as classical Chinese is essential. All relevant historical records and literature is written in these languages and a proper appreciation is dependent on the quality of the interpretation.

The translation project currently in progress is The Muyedobotongji, compiled in 1790.
